£15 billion pound railway

Post  rufuskins on Wed 16 Jul 2014, 10:06 pm

Just been watching the first part of the above programme on BBC2 - there's two more to follow. Absolutely fascinating especially as I spent my life in Civil/Structural Engineering, although not a lot in the tunnelling area. However I did help design Monument Station on the Tyne and Wear Metro back in the late 70s! I would recommend this programme although I don't suppose they'll give too much time to anything that goes wrong!

Hi Alec,
Yes, I thought it was very interesting, although I'd have liked a little more technical detail, but I don't suppose that would have pleased the masses!!
I'll certainly be watching the other two parts Smile

Cheers,
Ged

There may be some more technical details here on the Crossrail website.
