Route-Riter v7.6.26

Post  Markh5682 on Tue 19 Feb 2013, 9:28 am

Route-Riter v7.6.26 now available for free download on UKTS

http://members.uktrainsim.com//filelib-info.php?form_fileid=2588

It looks to be a complete version rather than an update as no reference is made to any previous versions being required.

That's the same version as is available on Mike Simpson's own site.

Thanks Alec.

My links page takes you to it on Mike's site, It's good to see it on UKTS though as more newcomers will be aware of it on there.

Hi all,
Firstly, Apologies for re-opening this thread, but I have followed all the Instructions regarding Java and Route Riter and I am still getting the annoying message on startup saying Java Runtime is not installed. Any ideas? Registry etc.....??
I'm running Windows 7.
Cheers

Hi Andy,
This has been the subject of more than one thread on UKTS!!

First things first - do you have 32 bit or 64 bit Windows?
Secondly, have you copied the contents of the TSUtils folder into a new folder called classes in the jre7 folder?

If you have a 64 bit OS, Route Riter requires the 32 bit version of Java to be installed (in Program Files (x86).

Cheers,
Ged

Hi Andy

If you have got the correct version of Java as suggested by Ged above and it still didn't work, you could try copying the classes over (I had to do that to get mine working)

I couldn't remember exactly what I did but Geoff (gswindale) posted the method on UKTS as quoted below.

Hi,

Have you copied the contents of the
C:\Program Files\Route Riter\TSUtil
folder into
C:\Program Files\Java\JRE7\classes
folder?

The folder entitled "Classes" may not exist - you will need to create it if so.

I think this is covered in the Route Riter read-me.

This is only strictly necessary to enable the use of TSUtils; but it is worth doing to avoid the message with Route Riter.

Thanks Mark & Ged,
The 32 Bit worked a treat. I didn't see that you had to install the 32 bit version. was very surprised by that.
But at least it has gotten rid of that annoying error.
Thanks
