Heywood Model Railway Show

Post  rufuskins on Sun 22 Mar 2015, 3:59 pm

I've been a lucky boy getting a weekend pass from SWMBO, which has allowed me to visit the Heywood show today. Like Keighley good value for the entrance fee - £3.00 for concessions - with a good selection of layouts in various gauges. Unfortunately my photography skills - or should I say my shaking hands - meant no decent pictures. It was not crowded today, but apparently was yesterday. I used the Metro to get to the venue at Rochdale's Town Hall courtesy of my bus pass, and it is a civilised way of travelling. Surprisingly I didn't buy any books from the S/H book stall! Shocked Shocked Shocked
Next outing should be to a LYR meeting in Manchester's Library on 11th April. Negotiations with SWMBO are ongoing!
